Full and on the stumps. Rakibul Hasan shuffles a touch and whips across the line of the ball, connecting it well and the ball rockets away towards deep mid-wicket for a boundary. Happy faces in the Bangladesh Camp as they thumped Pakistan by 6 wickets to win the Bronze Medal 🥉in the Asian Games 2023.

10:24 AM IST, 12:54 PM Local Time| Woah!! What a game we have witnessed. Bangladesh needed four runs of the last ball and Rakibul Hasan did it for them. Bangladesh players are leaping up in the air as they have beat Pakistan by 6 wickets(DLS Method) and have won the Bronze Medal in the Asian Games 2023.
We had a long delay in the start in the play due to the rain interruption. The match was reduced to a 13-over-a-side game. Pakistan openers Khushdil Shah and Mirza Tahir Baig came with all guns blazing and glued a partnership of 47 runs for the first wicket. Rakibul Hasan got rid of Khushdil Shah in the 5 the over. Khushdil departed after scoring 14 runs. Omair Yousuf joined Mirza Tahir Baig out in the middle. Then the rain arrived and players had to walk off the field. Pakistan scored 48 runs in 5 overs and Baig scored 32* runs.
Under the DLS method, Bangladesh's revised target was 65 runs in 5 overs. Bangladesh's start wasn't ideal, losing a couple of wickets in the first over. The responsibility then fell on Yasir Ali and Afif Hossain, who built a brisk 44-run partnership for the 3rd wicket.
Afif departed after contributing 20 runs, but Yasir Ali's aggressive play shifted the game in Bangladesh's favor. However, the tide turned again when Yasir Ali was dismissed on the penultimate ball, leaving Bangladesh needing 4 runs off the final ball. In a thrilling finish, Rakibul Hasan smashed the last ball for four runs, securing victory for Bangladesh and the coveted Bronze 🥉 Medal.
