OIW won by 6 wickets
22:00 IST and 17:30 Local Time- The Oval Invincibles Women have clinched an emphatic victory here against the Welsh Fire, that too in their home ground. They were excellent with the ball early on and then with the bat it was an Alice Capsey show. Marizanne Kapp played her role and she got her side home safely in the end with the flurry of boundaries. They've won by 6 wickets.

Lauren Winfield-Hill was dismissed in the very first over of the innings but the Oval Invincibles continued to dominate courtesy Alice Capsey. The superstar of English cricket smashed the bowlers around as she eased the pressure with Scholfield playing second fiddle at the other end.

The breakthrough came for the Welsh Fire when Georgia Davis got rid of Scholfield for just 11 runs. Marizanne Kapp joined Capsey at the crease at the stage and the pair continued to keep the momentum with themselves. The wickets weren't coming and the equation mostly remained below run a ball for the Oval side.

Georgia Davis picked up a couple of wickets in one over and she was the pick of the bowlers with three in her spell. It was too late though as Capsey had already set the platform for the run chase with her superb knock of 59 from 48 balls. Shabnim Ismail was the only other bowler to take a wicket as the rest of the bowlers took a bit of a pounding.
Hero of the Match: Alice Capsey
Alice Capsey(Hero of the Match): "The ball was coming on to the bat nicely. The key to my performance was that I got the break. I worked on my batting and also on my calmness. I've played a few games and batted extra in the nets. I now have a good understanding of the game and that is surely one of the keys."
Lauren Winfield-Hill(Oval Invincibles Captain) - "It is a good feeling to win here. That was a real good test to play against one of the best sides in the competition. Today our girls showed great strengths.

Chamari's presence in the team will make our team better. She scored runs in the last season and when you add someone like her in this side, a team gets stronger. I think we wanted to use the powerplay well and that has paid off for us. We got two big wickets of Tammy and Hayley Matthews.

I am mentally in a good space. The nature of the game is such that someday you might fail. But the team used the powerplay well and contributed a lot. I didn't contribute much but I'm not upset. I don't have that ego in me.

We have a few days of break time after today and I think it is a good opportunity for girls to have some good time with friends and family and comeback with a good headspace."
That will be all from our side as we wrap up our live coverage of this Women's Hundred Encounter between the Welsh Fire and Oval Invincibles. For now, it's Soumarya Dutta taking your leave on behalf of Saptak Sanyal and our Scorer/Analyst Paras Yadav.
