Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Uttar Pradesh Captain): "I think 194 was a pretty chaseable score, considering the ground conditions. However, where we lost the match was in the first five wickets. I believe those fell within the first 10 overs, which really set us back. And now, if you look at the final score, we were just 20 runs short. After getting the first five wickets relatively easily, we should have capitalized better. So yeah, that’s where we lost the game.
Definitely. I mean, as a team, we’re going to have discussions before the one-day matches about what went wrong and what we can do better moving forward. There are definitely a few things we’ll address, but overall, there are plenty of positives to take from this tournament. Of course, we’ll also focus on working on the negatives to improve as a team.
(On positives to carry from the T20 format into the One-Day format) Especially the bowling—it was pretty good throughout the tournament. The way we bowled as a unit was impressive. And as for Rinku, I don’t think I need to say much about him. He was absolutely special for us and made a huge impact."
