A near collision near the ropes when the fielder retrieved the ball and deep midwicket touched the rope soon after. TV umpire is confirming if the ball was in his hand when the contact was made.

SIX RUNS! This one lands outside the stadium on the road! That is some way to get your side in the semifinals! Full on the off stump. Clears the front leg to get underneath and smokes a big big heav down the ground. High and longest of the day!

MUM won by 6 wickets
5:07 PM: Mumbai become the third team after Madhya Pradesh and Baroda to register their name in the semifinals with a thumping 6-wicket victory over Vidarbha in the Maharashtra derby which happens to be the quarterfinal of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.

Winning the toss, Mumbai elected to bowl first with Vidarbha depositing 221/6 on the back of Atharva Taide (66), Apoorv Wankhade (51) and Shubham Dubey's (41*) healthy contributions.

Mumbai were off to a flier thanks to Prithvi Shaw (49) and Ajinkya Rahane (84 off 45) who added 83 runs in 7 overs. Shaw was unfortunate to miss out on a well deserved half century as he was caught in the deep off Dipesh Parwani's bowling.

The international stars - captain Shreyas Iyer (5) and India captain Suryakumar Yadav (9) failed to go all guns blazing but it was Rahane who stole the show scoring runs all over the park hitting 10 fours and 3 sixes.

Rahane added 39 runs with Shivam Dube for the 4th wicket before Yash Thakur removed the former skipper against the run of play. Suryansh Shedge at number 6 hit 4 sixes to score an unbeaten 36 in 12 balls which helped the struggling Dube to take his time to settle before he hammered 2 sixes as well to finish not out at 37.

Parth Rekhade was the most economic bowler with 0/26 in his 3 overs. Parwani (2/33) and Thakur (1/43) picked up important wickets but the rest of the attack failed to keep the scoring rate down.
