Meg Lanning, held the ground firm from one end, keeping the Invincibles hope alive till the very end. She scored 56 off 42 balls, with 8 fours and a six in it. With the help of this inning, Invincibles kept the asking rate under control and marched forward. She has scored back to back half centuries in the season so far, taking her off to a great start.
Economical Spells from Sophie Ecclestone and Amelia Kerr, didn't allow the Invincibles to get ahead of the asking rate and both the bowlers picked one wicket a piece. Finally when the dust settled, at the end of the 100 balls, Manchester Originals found themselves two runs in front, ensuring that they open their account in this season of the Women's Hundred.
