Beth Mooney (POTM): "Yeah, amazing. I thought at the 10-over mark the game was pretty much in the balance. Not sure what the coaches said, but whatever it was, it worked. The bowlers were excellent after that and kept us in the hunt.
Yeah, I think Chloe Ainsworth has been unreal for us over the last few years. She’s really grown into that role, taking on a lot of tough overs. It’s not easy for a fast bowler to do that all the time. And of course, Meg is a premium wicket wherever you go in the world. She batted really well—if she’d been there at the end, there’s no doubt the Stars would have won. So it was a huge moment to get her out and a great spectacle for the game.
Yeah, the crowds this year have been phenomenal here at the WACA. Can’t thank you all enough for coming out in such big numbers. It’s a Tuesday night, late in the evening, and we still had two and a half thousand of you here. You’ve been unreal throughout the tournament. We couldn’t ask for a better home crowd, and hopefully, a few of you make the trip to Sydney for the Challenger.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I reckon I’m done with training for this season. We’ll see what the coaches say once we get into the change room. It’s a really exciting time for this group—we’ve got plenty of young players and others who’ve played a lot of cricket as well. So it should be a great feeling once we get on that flight in the morning."
