Ramandeep Singh finished things off with an unbeaten 35 off 21 deliveries in both the side's final outing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy 2025.
Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl first. Venkatesh Iyer opening the innings for MP scored an excellent 70 off 43 deliveries to take the total to 225/8. Gurnoor Brar picked up 3/45 continuing his wicket taking form.
In response Punjab started off in aggressive manner with Harnoor Singh making full use of the dropped chances and a missed stumping to score 64 in 36 balls hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes. Anmolpreet Singh at number 3 hit 38 in just 14 balls to continue the early momentum.
Naman Dhir and Prabhsimran Singh were sent back cheaply but it was Salil Arora playing a brilliant hand scoring 50 in 29 balls with 5 maximums to keep Punjab in the hunt. MP spinner Shivam Shukla bowled a good spell claiming 3/39 with Kumar Kartikeya pulling the plug on the scoring rate with 1/34 but Ramandeep batting at 6 held his nerves and finished things off with his 2nd maximum in the final over.
