6:26 PM IST, 2:56 PM Local Time: England go on top of the Super Six Group 2 table with a thumping 7 wicket victory over Bangladesh at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. Rifat Beg top scored with 31 as the English bowling attack led by Sebastian Morgan (3/28) cleaned up the side for 136 in just 38.1 overs. Manny Lumsden and Ralphie Albert picked up a couple of wickets each.
Bangladesh's hopes went up for a while as MD Al Fahad removed Joseph Moores for 1 in the 3rd over after a catch was dropped a ball ago. Ben Dawkins (27 off 29) attacked the bowlers hitting 5 boundaries in his knock and departed in the 9th over, Fahad having him caught at deep square.
Mayes was then joined by skipper Thomas Rew and added 78 runs for the 3rd wicket. Mayes faced 50 deliveries and hit 2 fours, a six in his 34-run knock. He was dismissed in the 21st over with just 20 needed for a win.
Skipper Rew hammered 59 in 50 deliveries hitting 5 fours and 2 back-to-back sixes against leg spinner Shadhin Islam to take England closer to the target which they eventually achieved in the 25th over.

We didn't chat about how quickly we want to do it. We wanted to go out and enjoy. To get those partnerships was a good touch.
As soon as spinners come on I like to take them on. I like sweeping against the spinners. Once we got going we just carried out the momentum.

Azizul Hakim (Bangladesh U19 Captain): "Disappointed. Couple of mistakes but we are learning. 137 is not good enough on this wicket. We need to bat very well."
Thomas Rew (England U19 Captain): "The way we started with the ball was excellent. It was a decent cricket wicket. The wicket was slightly different. Bit more spin and drier. Our bowlers bowled really well on the wicket. We applied ourselves on our fielding, worked hard. Our fielding coach worked hard with us. To see some catches come off well was pleasing. We will train hard for a couple of days and relax tomorrow."
