3:23 PM IST, 4:53 PM Local Time: An excellent bowling display from Bangladesh A Women saw them successfully defend a modest total of 110 and register a commanding 54-run victory to secure their place in the grand finale.
Earlier, Bangladesh A Women posted 110/8 in their 20 overs, thanks largely to a composed captain’s innings from Fahima Khatun. They were 27/1 at the end of the Powerplay and 44/3 at the halfway stage, struggling to find momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Fahima Khatun anchored the innings with an unbeaten 40 off 32 balls, standing firm while the rest of the batting line-up faltered, with no other batter outside the top four reaching double figures. Her steady knock lifted the side to a fighting total of 110/8, giving the bowlers something to defend. Hafsa Khalid was the standout performer with the ball for Pakistan A, returning figures of 2/25.
In reply, Pakistan A Women endured a disastrous start, losing wickets at regular intervals and failing to build any meaningful partnerships. Bangladesh A Women maintained relentless pressure throughout. Shawaal Zulfiqar looked to settle in but managed only 14 off 17 balls. The Girls in Green collapsed for just 56 in the 17th over, handing Bangladesh A a dominant 54-run victory.
The scorecard reflected their struggles, with only Yusra Amir (11) and Hafsa Khalid (12) joining Shawaal in reaching double figures. Sanjida Akter Meghla led the bowling effort with three wickets, while Fahima Khatun picked up two. Fariha Trisna, Fatema Jahan Sonia, and Farjana Easmin claimed a wicket each to complete a clinical performance.
Stay tuned for the presentation.....
