End of a good spell from James Coles. He finishes with 2/35. Surrey only require 4 in 30 balls.

Danny Briggs is back into the attack. Around the wicket. Short on the stumps. Clipped away towards cow corner for a couple.

THE SCORES ARE LEVEL! Good length on the stumps. Punched down to long on for a single.

FOUR RUNS!!! Dan Lawrence finishes it off in style! Shorter and outside the off stump. Lawrence rocks back and punches it beautifully past mid off to his left for a boundary. Surrey thump Sussex by 7 wickets with 27 balls to spare!

SUR won by 7 wickets
2:06 AM IST, 9:35 PM Local Time: A fabulous comeback with the ball followed by a superb batting display sees Surrey hammer Sussex at Hove by 7 wickets!

Earlier in the game, Sussex won the toss and opted to bat first. Harrison Ward (49 off 29) and Daniel Hughes (45 off 19) went after Surrey's bowling in the powerplay. The two southpaws added 94 for the first wicket in just 7.4 overs. However, once Dan Lawrence (2/18) and Tom Lawes (3/26) came into the attack, the game turned on its head.

Tom Alsop (31 off 20) and Tom Price (14 off 13) tried to rebuild after Sussex were reduced to 122/5, but Chris Jordan (2/30) and Reece Topley's (3/16) excellent spells at the back end saw the hosts get all-out for 171 in 19.3 overs.

Ollie Robinson sent back Jason Roy early on in the run chase, but Josh Philippe and Will Jacks completely outplayed the home team with a cracking 103-run second-wicket partnership. Both the batters struck fifties in the process.

James Coles struck twice in quick succession to dismiss Philippe (52 off 28) and Sam Curran (9 off 10), but that didn't cause much panic in the visitors' camp, with Jacks (70* off 39) and Lawrence (20* off 8) finishing the game in a hurry inside 16 overs.
That is it from this South Group T20 Blast fixture between Sussex and Surrey, with the tourists claiming an easy win in the end. Surrey continue to keep themselves in the top half of the table, while Sussex are struggling to win games despite winning all seven tosses this season.

For now, this is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of our scorer Bishal Mandal. We will meet again. Until then, it's cheers!
