8:32 PM IST: A comprehensive win by Bangladesh as they have thrashed Ireland by 183 runs to go 1-0 up in this 3-match series. They have outplayed Ireland in all facets of the game and look like the team to beat in this series. This could be a long tour for the Irish.
Chasing a mammoth 339 for the win, Ireland got off to a decent start as they reached 60/0 in the 12th over. But they collapsed from there and never recovered. They fell to 76/5 and lost the plot completely. Stephen Doheny scored 34 and Paul Stirling scored 22. Then Curtis Campher got into double figures scoring 16. George Dockrell gave a good account of himself as he top scored with 45. Mark Adair scored 13 as the innings was over in 30.5 overs as Ireland folded for 155.
All the Bangladesh bowlers bowled well and never allowed Ireland to get away. Ebadot Hossain was the standout with 4 wickets for 42 runs in 6.5 overs. Nasum Ahmed gave him good support with 3 wickets for 43 runs in 8 overs. A couple of wickets for Taskin Ahmed and a wicket to Shakib Al Hasan. Mustafizur Rahman remained wicketless and disappointed us a little bit.

Andy McBrine bowled well in his 10 overs giving away 47 runs and picking up a wicket. A wicket fell to Mark Adair and Curtis Campher. Andrew Balbirnie ( Ireland Captain): " Yeah, definitely we had disappointed with the batting and we did well in the first 10 overs but after that, we lost 4-5 wickets that's is the main reason. Yeah, I think bit of swing in the wicket, Bangla bowlers are bowled well and hopefully will come back in next game. Yeah, wanna beat a team like this and we come back strong on Monday."
Towhid Hridoy (Player of the Match): "A little bit hurt. I am happy I contributed to the team's win. Yes, I felt good batting with Shakib bhai and Mushfiq bhai helped me as well. I was confident about my abilities and happy to win the game for my side."
Tamim Iqbal( Bangladesh Captain): " The way we batted was exceptional. Wasn’t the easiest wicket to bat for the first 20-25 overs. But Shakib was brilliant, Towhid was also pretty impressive and Mushfiqur was brilliant as well at the end. The bowlers also bowled very well. The first 20-25 overs wasn’t that easy to bat on, it was on the slower side. (Rahim) He has been doing this for the last 17 years, there will be ups and downs, but I have always trusted his abilities as a keeper. The way Ebadot bowled was very special. Special mention to Nasum too, he bowls really well."
