Narayan Jagadeesan (Chepauk Super Gillies Captain): "[In which areas did the Tamizhans outplay you?] Definitely. With the way they batted, I think they outplayed us. I just feel we could have been better with our bowling execution.
[On their bowling performance] I think a lot of credit must be given to the team as well because you know they had to go at 10 runs per over and they kept going at it right from the beginning. I didn’t see an over which was less than six runs, except for Simbu when he bowled and it went for six runs. The least given in an over was six. Credit to the way Tushar played and the way he was going after our bowlers.
[Message to the players after this loss?] I mean winning and losing is a part of the game. It’s totally fine to lose a game. But it is just about how we execute our stuff and everybody is under pressure. The batters did well but they were also under pressure. Probably, the way we go about our game, it could be with more clarity and more intent."
