7:40 PM IST & Local Time: An easy win in the end for Jharkhand over the 2017-18 champions Delhi. They outperformed Delhi in all departments of the game. A 133-run chase was in front of them and they did it with 31 balls to spare.
Earlier in the game, Jharkhand won the toss and opted to bowl first. In the first half of the first innings, it looked like Delhi will score well beyond 200. They were 84/2 but a collapse in the final 10 overs saw them get bowled out for 132 in 19.2 overs.
They lost their final 8 wickets for 48 runs. Sushant Mishra was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 for 25 from his four overs. Vikash Kumar, Saurabh Shekhar, Utkarsh Singh all chipped in with a couple of wickets each. Bala Krishna bagged one for 21 from his four overs.
In reply, Ishan Kishan and Utkarsh Singh got Jharkhand off to a flying start. They added 61 runs off 6.2 overs before Utkarsh fell for 24.
Ishan Kishan made 27 off 24 before losing his wicket to Simarjeet Singh. Kumar Kushagra remained not out on 45 off 31 and saw the team home. Anukul Roy chipped in with a cameo, remaining not out on 26 off 13.
Jharkhand managed to get over the line with 5.1 overs to spare. Simarjeet Singh, Suyash Sharma and Prince Yadav picked up a wicket each but it wasn't enough to stop the juggernaut from Jharkhand.
