Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "(Would she have managed to script anything better than this famous victory here at Lord's) I don't thinks so, I could've managed to do anything better (laughs). God is a better writer and I think he has written it very well.

(On Smriti Mandhana's innings) Yeah, I think our openers have been our biggest strength, with the way they batted in the first half. They are all the ones who take responsibilities and takes away all the pressure from us. In this Test match also with the way they batted, it was outstanding to watch them.

(On playing so well in Tests in the recent past) I think it's effort, you know. The entire team is putting on, especially our support staff with the way they have guided us. Many of them have played a lot of Test cricket. I think they are the ones who are giving us feedbacks each and every moment. Because of them, we were able to perform. I really want to thank Amol sir and the entire team with the way they have supported us throughout the Test match and also with the previous one we played.

(On Kranti Gaud's performance in this Test) I think things didn't go in our favour in the last couple of series. Our support staff kept us together. I once again want to give credit to Amol sir and the entire team as they managed to keep us together. I know this summer in England didn't go the way we wanted but we made a strong comeback in the Test match and we will take back good memories from here.

(On Yastika Bhatia's performance) Yeah, she is a great batter. I had a very strong feeling for her and that is why we took her in the XI. She batted brilliantly in this Test match.

(On Richa Ghosh's catch yesterday to dismiss Mady Villiers) We always have a winners medal for the best fielder in the match. Our entire team fielded brilliantly in this Test match. As a group we have been working hard a lot. When you receive the result, you always feel very happy. Fielding coach is working really hard behind us since many years. Very happy with the team's performance and also Richa's fielding performance. Really happy that everybody came together and did the job for the team.

(On playing back home with a victory here at Lord's) Yes definitely. Playing at Lord's is always a pleasure. Really thankful to the people who gave a thought behind bringing one Test match here. Hopefully in the future we will get many more. These kind of matches bring a lot of happiness on our faces. Hopefully we will play many more matches here and keep performing with the way we are doing."
Harmanpreet Kaur steps forward to collect the winners' trophy before joining her jubilant teammates behind the Winners Board for the celebrations. India seal a famous victory over England in the historic one-off Women's Test at Lord's.
Trivia: England Women were bowled out for under 200 in both innings of a home Women's Test for the first time in 11 years. They managed 170 and 186 at Lord's, having last been dismissed for 168 and 101 against Australia at Canterbury in 2015.
Trivia: Harmanpreet Kaur became the fourth Indian captain to win a Test (Men & Women) at Lord's, after Kapil Dev (1986), MS Dhoni (2014) and Virat Kohli (2021).
STAT ATTACK: India Women registered their fourth Test win over England Women, their most win against any opposition in Women's Tests. Their next-best record is three wins against South Africa Women.

While it has been a heavy defeat for England in this historic Test match, it's also a day to acknowledge the end of two remarkable international careers. Heather Knight and Tammy Beaumont have brought the curtain down on their distinguished journeys in England colours.
It was quite amusing that Lord's, the 'Home of Cricket' took 142 years to welcome the cricketing queens in whites. Well, better late than never. The two team that graced this occasion, England and India gifted us a Test match to remember. There was nothing ordinary in their approach and it awakened a new era of Women's cricket where one would hope that Test matches become more of a regular affair.

On the batting front we saw twin fifties from the likes of Smriti Mandhana and Amy Jones. Yastika Bhatia notched up a stunning hundred. On the bowling front, we saw Kranti Gaud and Sophie Ecclestone pick up memorable fifers.

India's next assignment comes in the shortest format of our sport as the 'women in blue' take part in the Asian Games slated to be held in September. England on the other hand will welcome neighbors Ireland over for a 3-match ODI series in September.

On this note, I, Manan Mehta would like to take your leave on behalf of my colleagues Pritam Dey, Ghanendra Singh Thakur and Aman. CIAO!
