12:35 AM IST & 8:05 PM Local Time: England Women demolish the West Indies by 143 runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Once again, the batters set it up and without their talismanic skipper Hayley Matthews, chasing 367 was always going to be tough and the West Indies were bowled out for 223 in 45.4 overs.
Earlier in the game, England Women won the toss and elected to bat first. Matthews didn't play because of a shoulder injury and Shmaine Campbelle walked out for the toss for the visitors.
Amy Jones and Tammy Beaumont made history, becoming the first pair in Women’s ODI cricket to record back-to-back 200-plus partnerships.
Both batters carried their form from the first match, scoring impressive centuries — Jones smashed 129 off 98 balls, while Beaumont compiled a steady 106 off 109.
Emma Lamb added a well-made half-century, and a late cameo from Sophia Dunkley (31 off 19) helped push England to a formidable total of 366/6 in their 50 overs.
Karishma Ramharack and Aaliyah Alleyne both bagged two wickets each. Jannillea Glasgow and Jahzara Claxton got one apiece.
In reply, the visitors lost Zaida James in the 7th over. Stand-in skipper Shemaine Campbelle scored just six runs.
Realeanna Grimmond played a fine knock on debut. She scored 53 runs off 72 balls. Jannillea Glasgow added 44 off 24 but there was hardly any other major contribution from the top order.
Cherry Ann Fraser scored 24 and Karishma Ramharack remained unbeaten on 15 as the West Indies were bowled out for 223.
Alice Capsey picked up three wickets and was the pick of the bowlers. Lauren Filer and Linsey Smith bagged two apiece. Alice Davidson Richards, Lauren Bell and Kate Cross all picked up a wicket each. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation...
