Maximum Fours of the Match: Tushar Raheja
Batter with Highest Strike Rate: Amith Sathvik
Most Dependable Player of the Match: Amith Sathvik
Player of the Match: Tushar Raheja
Tushar Raheja (Player of the Match): "[You are making a happy habit with this?] No better feeling than being unbeaten and finishing the game.

[A word on your partner, Amith Sathvik] The way he started, he set the tone today.  I was just admiring his batting from the other end. I think we were a lot smarter today. We talked about the conditions, which bowler we can take on. He didn't listen to me when I told no to but I feel that worked well for us.

[Do you give a treat every time you win a Player of the Match award] Not really, we will take one game at a time.

[Chasing a score in excess of 200 never gets easy, does it?] I think that's where the Powerplay comes in. The way we maximize the Powerplay matters. Even they had a fantastic start in the Powerplay. So winning the Powerplay was more important especially when you are chasing. After that, it becomes relatively easier. Most of the job I feel is done in the Powerplay."
Sai Kishore (iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans Captain): "[The openers are making your life as a captain easier right?] Definitely, feels good to have an opening pair like this. The way they have been playing is so nice to watch. We as a group have this mentality to be fearless. To have that skillset and play for the team is so exciting to watch.

[A word on the comeback with the ball] We came back well with the ball. Credit to Nellai, they batted superbly. We didn't bowl too bad, if we bowled poorly, would have panicked. They hit good balls. Essaki came and bowled superbly in the sixth over. Without looking too much at the analysis, the boys are doing what the team needs, we are fielding very well. These are benefitting the team.

[Is there a concern around the middle-order not getting time to bat?] Definitely, it will be good if they get time to bat but if the openers keep firing like this, can't complain as well. I forgot to mention Amith's name in the last game, went and told him sorry. He came up and showed up like this. So, if Tushar and Amith show up like this, there is no need to worry."
Highest Successful Run Chases in TNPL:

240/4- Madurai Panthers vs Kovai Kings, Dindigul, 2026 (T-240)

209/8- Kovai Kings vs Nellai Royal Kings, Coimbatore, 2022 (T-209)

207/2- iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans vs Nellai Royal Kings, Dindigul, 2026 (T-207), TONIGHT*
That marks the end of our live coverage from the Sunday double-header of TNPL 2026. Both the games were contrasting. Chepauk Super Gillies and Dindigul Dragons faced off earlier in the afternoon game and that was a low scoring game. Narayan Jagadeesan, the CSG skipper, who came to open the innings finished the game with an unbeaten 90. The evening game was a high scoring one. iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans successfully chased down the 207-run target and guess what? Another opener remained unbeaten on 90 to finish a run chase. It was Tushar Raheja! Raheja got the assistance from Amith Sathvik and took his team home.
The TNPL carnival carries on tomorrow as Salem Spartans will lock horns with Madurai Panthers, who yesterday completed the highest successful chase in the history of TNPL. The first ball will be bowled at 7:30 PM IST and Local Time. Do join us for that.
For now, this is Saptak Sanyal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Karthik Raj and the scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Good night!
