Ellyse Perry: "Yeah, look, it was awesome fun to bat out there with Phoebe today and put on the partnership that we did. I think we've sort of spoken about that a fair bit, especially coming off the Test match, where we probably didn't sort of manage to put together a big partnership that changed the course of the match. So it was really nice to do that. I thought Phoebe was batted especially well and then really nice to see the girls finish the way they did with the batting innings.
Look, I think it was really nice conditions to bat here today at Wankhede, and the game has certainly come a long way. But I think saying that we've been pushed by India all the time in whatever format we're playing against them. So I think we've just got to keep trying to raise the bar with our batting and make sure that whatever total we've got to chase, we do that and we manage the chase well. But we managed to do that really nicely today. I thought probably 280 was around par. We had a really good effort in the field and I thought we sort of bowled pretty well in large patches there.
I thought as I said, it was probably around par that India got in that first innings, particularly with the lights coming on and the ball coming on pretty well in the second innings. I think we started positively, and we capitalized on that pretty well and then just managed the chase the way through and sort of never let it get too steep on us, which was really pleasing.
We had Christmas, which was a lot of fun together, and a couple of days off just to enjoy the festive season. Certainly, a different one for a lot of us normally used to being at home with family and friends. So, yeah, it was really cool to have such a big contingent of Aussies with us for Christmas Day in particular."
