Shadab Khan (Abbottabad Region captain): "(On how he gelled with the players) It never felt like I was a guest player. These guys welcomed me with such brotherhood. As a senior player, I know what my responsibilities are. When I am playing domestic cricket, I know what to tell the young players.
(On playing 4 fast bowlers) When we practiced yesterday, it gave me an idea that playing 4 fast bowlers will be the right way to go.
(Importance of this trophy for Abbottabad?) I think the first trophy is very important. Abbottabad has been playing good cricket over the last 3-4 years. Just that finishing touch was lacking. The trophy is very important for such a region which is brimming with talent but does not have the big names.
Fakhar (Zaman) and (head coach) Saqib (Faqir) should get a lot of credit. They were actively involved behind the scenes. Fakhar keeps supporting the players of his academy throughout the year."
