They have been on top since the first ball and reap the rewards with an 8-wicket victory, chasing down the target of 139 runs in just 14.4 overs! Aryan Chaudhary stays unbeaten at 68 off 44 to see his team over the line. They make a massive jump on the points table, moving to 3rd place from bottom of the table.
Karan Sharma (Kashi Rudras Captain) - "(On the result) I think we have failed to do well in all three departments today. We could have tried to play with a better approach today. Had we been positive in the middle overs and put up some more runs, things could have been different.
(On his expectations from the pitch) I had some expectations that the ball will spin due to the moisture in the wicket early on. But we batted really poorly in the middle overs and hence we are on this end of the result.
(On any concerns) Our team has had a concern in the middle order. We will need to rectify the mistakes and move on to the next game.

Vasu Vats (Gorakhpur Lions): " (On his performance) It is always good to bowl well and contribute. There was some help with the new ball and I was trying to use that help to my advantage. When I came back to bowl in the final over, I used the longer boundary to my advantage and it worked to my favor.
(On their plans with the bat) We tried to be aggressive at the start. The idea was to put their bowlers under pressure during the powerplay so that getting to the target becomes easier.
(On the feeling after the win) We have a great atmosphere in the team. We fumbled a bit from the momentum point of view in the previous game and hence today we tried to do our best when it came to keeping our calm and following the process. "

(On the turn) We expected the ball to turn, but it turned more than expected. It was easier to bat with the target in mind. Our openers ensured that they knocked off the extra runs at the start and from there on we needed to see the game through.

(On his mystery spin) I used to watch Varun Chakravarthy's videos, and I wanted to be a mystery spinner since the start of my career.
(On being in Punjab Kings' camp) I gained a lot of experience in the PBKS campaign, and it is a good opportunity to show what I have learnt there.

Gorakhpur Lions successfully broke their three-match losing streak and jumped to the third position with this comfortable victory over the defending champions, Kashi Rudras. And the Rudras now have a lot to figure out after their three-match winning streak is broken by a spirited Gorakhpur Lions performance, which outclassed them in all three departments.
