Earlier, Peshawar Region finished with 167/9 in their 20 overs after a strong late comeback from Lahore Whites, who claimed six wickets in the final five overs while conceding just 32 runs. Peshawar got off to a solid start as Abuzar Tariq and Yasir Khan added 44 runs for the opening wicket, with Tariq scoring 26 before falling to Aamir Jamal.
Yasir Khan then led the charge with an impressive 65 off 37 balls, striking four boundaries and five sixes, while Waqar Ahmed supported him with 28 during a 56-run partnership. However, after their dismissals, Peshawar suffered a collapse with several middle and lower-order batters failing to make an impact. Nabi Gul’s quick 16 off 8 balls provided some late momentum. Aamir Jamal starred with the ball for Lahore Whites, taking 3/40, while Mohammad Rameez picked up two wickets.
In reply, Lahore Region Whites chased down the target comfortably, winning by 6 wickets with 18 balls to spare. The innings was anchored by Farhan Yousaf, who played a match-winning knock of 61* off 31 balls, striking five fours and four sixes. Earlier, Mohammad Akhlaq provided a solid start with 58 off 46 balls, including eight boundaries and a six.
However, Lahore suffered a brief wobble after losing Mohammad Faiq (0) and Imran Dogar (1) early, followed by Tayyab Tahir (17). Despite the setbacks, Farhan Yousaf took control of the chase and, along with Mohammad Mohsin (17*), guided the team home comfortably.
For the Peshawar Region, Mohammad Nawaz was the pick of the bowlers with 2/40, while Usman Tariq and Mohammad Imran Jnr chipped in with a wicket each.
