Player of the Match: Amelia Kerr
Amelia Kerr (Player of the Match): "Yeah, has been a roller-coaster of emotions not starting the World Cup the way we would have wanted. Today, we were challenged by Ireland but glad to come on top.

(On her knock) You need runs to win games. I got out at a bad time, it would been nice to have kicked on help us get a bigger total.

(Coming to bowl after the Powerplay) Yeah, it is always a balancing act. I always come on after the Powerplay. The depth in our bowling attack, we saw Bree (Illing) bowl four in a row which allowed me to hold myself back."
Gaby Lewis (Ireland Women Captain): "(Immediate reaction about the result) It is hard to reflect right-away, there are a lot of emotions. We wanted that first win but it slipped through. Maybe, tomorrow I could reflect on it.

(The deep planning for the Kiwi batters) In doing the preparation. Our analyst and coaches help us so much about the different players.

(Restricting NZ to 140) They are reigning champions for a reason but we thought we were in the game after restricting them to 140.

(Partnership with Orla Prendergast) We love batting together and we run well. We lost wickets at crucial times and both of us are really disappointed as we feel that we should have got the team over the line.

(Performances so far in the World Cup) We have done better with each game in this World Cup and that is something we pride upon. We are such a young group. We are getting better every game."
Amelia Kerr (New Zealand Captain and Player of the Match): "(Culmination of the victory) Yeah, disappointing at the start, but we can still come up and show that we can come up and win matches. Kudos to the group for showing up courage, and winning this one. I think its just the mental side of the game, holding our nerves in the key moments. I think the key for us is to hold our nerve and keep us in the line. I think in the last two games, we missed that.

(On the chance to make it to the knockouts) Yeah, there's still a mathematical opportunity. As we can see in this tournament, that anyone can beat anyone. The way Ireland and Scotland have played, in their first World Cups, it has been brilliant.

(On Suzie Bates performance with the ball) Yeah, she loves big moments. She did it against Sri Lanka in the last tournament. She practices a lot at the backyard, and does her work, training for the slog overs. The last two games did not go our way, but we all know how good she can be. Its great to have her."
Phew! A game that goes down the wire is all we cherish in a big event as that of the T20 World Cup. And this contest was such an entertainment for the cricket fanatics. New Zealand stay alive in terms of mathematical probability to make it to the next round. However, things look bleak for Ireland but there's always light at the end of the tunnel. The European nation have gotten better with each game and  would hope to find their maiden victory in the global even in their next game. Big day coming up tomorrow. There's plenty of cricketing action on the cards. Ensure to stick around this space.

For now, its Arijit Kundu, taking your gentle leave alongside co-commentator Karthik Raj, statistician Aman, and scorer Paras Yadav. Toodles!
