WARKS won by 5 wickets
9:58 PM IST, 5:28 PM Local Time: A magnificent 105-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Kai Smith and Sam Hain rescued Warwickshire from a precarious position and guided them to a five-wicket victory with 10 balls to spare. With this crucial win, the Bears keep their hopes alive in the tournament.

Earlier, Northamptonshire were bowled out for 153 in their 20 overs after a disciplined bowling display from Warwickshire. The Steelbacks lost three early wickets inside the Powerplay before Saif Zaib (37) and Louis Kimber (17) briefly steadied the innings with a 38-run stand. However, regular breakthroughs left them struggling at 95/7. Luke Procter then produced an unbeaten 33, while Ben Sanderson chipped in with 14, as the lower order guided Northamptonshire past the 150-run mark. For Warwickshire, Beau Webster starred with 3 wickets, while Richard Gleeson and Jordan Thompson claimed two apiece. Chris Woakes, Dan Mousley, and Taz Ali also chipped in with a wicket each.

Chasing 154, Warwickshire recovered brilliantly from 49/5 to complete the chase with five wickets in hand and 10 balls to spare, thanks to a match-winning unbeaten 105-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Kai Smith and Sam Hain. The Bears lost wickets at regular intervals despite Vaansh Jani's brisk 26 off 12, with George Scrimshaw reducing them to a precarious position early in the chase.

With the innings in trouble, Kai Smith and Sam Hain steadied the ship before shifting gears. Smith led the charge with an unbeaten 65 off 40 balls, striking 10 fours and a six, while Hain played the perfect supporting role with a composed 48* off 37 deliveries. Their unbroken stand took Warwickshire over the line in 18.2 overs, keeping their hopes alive in the competition.

For Northamptonshire, George Scrimshaw was the standout bowler with 3 wickets, while Luke Procter and Ben Sanderson claimed one apiece, but the bowlers were unable to break the decisive sixth-wicket stand.
That's all from this contest, folks! We apologise for the inconvenience caused during the second innings, as we were unable to bring you ball-by-ball commentary for much of the chase due to an internet outage at the venue. We sincerely appreciate your patience and thank you for staying with us for the live score updates. On that note, it's me, Deepak Prakash, signing off from this space alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. CHEERS!
