Babar Azam (Player of the Match): "The support that the Lahore crowd gave me was amazing. I think I was due one. I was backing myself and I am happy that it came off. There is always pressure. But it about how you absorb it. I was only thinking about what my team and the situation demands. At the start, the ball was gripping on the wicket. It was easier to play the fast bowlers. Faheem Ashraf (Player of the Series): "I told yesterday also that the team has given me a role. There is a role for me in all the departments. Even if I don't get an opportunity with the bat, I try to perform in the field and with the ball. I try to think as a batsman to guess what the opposite batter might be trying to do. I try to do something for the team whenever possible."
Donovan Ferreira (South Africa captain): "We didn't perform well with the bat. The bowlers did fight it out. But we did not have any runs. I think you can always learn in any ups and downs. Our batters can't keep losing wickets in clusters. It does not help us.
We can take a lot out of how did they (Pakistan) bowl. They deployed a lot of cutters and that got us out. The last five overs of the game was exciting. Allowed me to try some unorthodox things. Salman Ali Agha (Pakistan Captain): "Good teams, when they perform well, they back it up and we did that. It has been 3-4 months, every player has been told their role and it is just about executing it now. What the game needs, you need to do. We did that today and in the last game as well.
