9:23 PM IST, 4:53 PM local time: Scotland Women can dance in the rain. As the ground staff comes rushing in with the covers, the hosts celebrate not just their victory in this game, but also a series win. Yes, they are now assured to finish at the top of the points table.

With less than 10 days remaining for the start of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, this will give them a major boost. Remember, coming into this tournament, they had never defeated Bangladesh Women and had also not won against Netherlands Women in this format since 2021. But they turned it around, beat Nigar Sultana and co. once, and the Dutch twice. Kathryn Bryce and her troops can be proud of themselves.

Today, again, the captain led from the front. Kathryn Bryce's exuberant 33-ball-63 is what set this win up for the hosts today. Other than her swashbuckling knock, Katherine Fraser's 17-ball-29 and Sarah Bryce's 12-ball-23 were also instrumental in getting them to a good score of 124/3 in 12 overs.

The Dutch were in the game until the end of the 6th over. They were 59/2, when we had another rain delay, which caused them to lose all momentum. Post the resumption, they could only score 21 more in the remaining 4 overs and even lost 4 wickets. Chloe Abel shined in this phase with 2/8 against her name. Kathryn Bryce took a wicket and two catches to add to her great outing. Sterre Kalis was the top scorer for Netherlands Women with 28 (22). Alas, it was not enough.

Babette de Leede (Netherlands Women Captain): "I don't think we were quite switched on at the start of the game, to be honest. But credit to Scotland; they played really well.

(So what are you looking for tomorrow?) We're obviously disappointed with the result, especially after scoring only 100 runs against Bangladesh in the last game and still putting in a strong performance. We'll take the lessons from this match and look to improve tomorrow. I felt the disappointment as well, but we'll keep fighting until the end. We'll prepare thoroughly and aim to put in a much better performance in the big game tomorrow."
Kathryn Bryce (Player of the Match): "(On the team's performance) I think we have been put in a lot of different situations. Today also we had to adapt to the weather conditions. We have done well.

(On her own performance) I feel in pretty good touch with the bat. It has been a good week to kind of put it together, go out there and I always enjoy contributing for my team.

(Improvement in fielding?) It was tough in these conditions. It was a bit wobbly. So, I feel really nice about the performance."
Kathryn Bryce collects the cup and gets joined by her mates who pose for the photograph with big smiles on their faces. Yes, it is still raining, but it won't dampen the spirit and the confidence of these ladies, who will now head into the ICC Women's T20 World Cup with confidence in their hearts.

On that note, it is time for us to say goodbye. It is Darpan Tikiya bidding adieu on the behalf of Deepak Prakash, Danish Elahi and Raju Khariya. Keep following Crickxo for more cricket from around the world.
