Jos Buttler (England Captain): "Yeah, it was a really disappointing performance. So far short of the mark. Really disappointing.

Yeah, a bit of both. It was a decent surface, probably a bit slow. Root and Duckett got us into a decent position but we are just not going on to making those big scores, which is the story of this group.

No, I don't know to be honest. Not just batters, as a whole group, you know we are not getting the results. Time for everyone to go and work hard. Wherever cricket takes you next. Obviously from this point forward, there is a great opportunity for everyone inside the dressing room and outside to put their hand up and say they want to be part of the rebuild of white-ball teams.

Yeah, of course. The talent is there. I am sure Brendon and the guys at the top will formulate some plans.

Of course, now is a fantastic time to remember what it was to be a World Cup winning captain. Joe has been amazing since relinquishing the captaincy and has been a shining light, a great example for English cricket throughout. We have seen him take his game to new levels. Hopefully, I can follow him."
Aiden Markram (South Africa Captain): "Yeah I think it's alright. It was more of a precaution thing. I will get a couple of days rest and then I will be good to go for the Semis.

Yeah, I thought the boys did a brilliant job. The wicket was probably slower than we expected it to be. We changed our initial plans which we had in mind. Boys adapted to it brilliantly and we kept the momentum on our side, pretty much throughout the innings.

(On Marco Jansen) He has been huge for us. We all know, especially in the powerplay, we need wickets upfront and he keeps on delivering with the new ball for us. We really has been peeking at the right time for us alongside KG.

(On Heinrich Klaasen) It's always great to see him get some runs. He was in a ridiculous patch of form. He lost his form for many months and then he walked out today with a niggle on his elbow but that knock he played, made us think as if he never lost touch. So happy with his performance tonight.

(On potentially playing the Semi-Final in Dubai) Yeah we have to wait and see if that is going to be the case or not. Firstly, we have to get there and assess the conditions. We have got a big squad with great options so ultimately we will pick the best options who can get the job done for us. So whoever might be, we obviously will back each and every player in our team. Temba and the Coach backs them a lot."

England, Pakistan and Bangladesh are the three winless teams in this Champions Trophy 2025!
So, as far as GROUP B is concerned:

- South Africa finish at the top of the table.
- Australia secure the second spot.

This sets up an exciting scenario for the Semi-Finals! The winner of tomorrow's clash between India and New Zealand will take on Australia in the Semi-Final, while the loser will face South Africa!
That was a quick end to England's campaign as South Africa made light work of Jos Buttler's men in his final game as England's white-ball captain. The bowlers set it up, and then Rassie van der Dussen, along with Heinrich Klaasen, made sure England bowed out of the tournament without a win. Australia and South Africa are the two semi-finalists from Group B.

This is Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of my colleagues Akshay Bhide, Pritam Dey and Zeeshan Naiyer. Goodbye!
