WICKETT!! That is the final nail in the coffin. Tosses it on a length from over the wicket. Pitches it around the off-stump and turns in sharply past the leg stump. Joseph comes charging down the track but doesn't get to the pitch of the ball. Misses it on the inside edge and Klaasen behind the stumps does the rest by removing the bails to find Joseph short of his crease. Bavuma is happy as he does a brilliant job on his debut Test series as a captain by winning the match by 284 runs and clinching the series 2-0.

5:20 PM IST | And that will seal the deal for South Africa. Temba Bavuma leads his side with a 2-0 series victory in his Test captaincy debut. After the skipper boosted the Proteas' total to 321 and helped to get a lead of 390 runs, the ball never seemed to be in the court of the visitors.
West Indies had the mighty task of chasing down a target of 391 runs in the fourth innings, courtesy of a phenomenal innings of 172 runs from Temba Bavuma in the third innings.
Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Kraigg Braithwaite were the usual openers for the touring party and chalked around for the first 10 overs. Kagiso Rabada operated with the new ball and was breathing fire alongside spinner Simon Harmer from the other end.
What followed next was an all-out folding where the trio of Kagiso Rabada, Simon Harmer, and Keshav Maharaj played a great role. At one point, they were curtailed down to 34-6 and the session saw the Lunch break.
Jason Holder and Joshua Da Silva resumed in the second session and played some shots on the looseners dished at them. The star of the previous innings was dismissed by Coetzee as the veteran dragged on to the stumps. Joshua Da Silva was undone by a lowey from Coetzee which went on to bang on the off stump. Alzarri Joseph followed with some counter-attacking wild slogs but it was just a matter of time before the Windies got bundled out for 106 runs.
Harmer and Coetzee bagged three wickets each, while Rabada and Maharaj snapped two wickets each.
Earlier in the match, South Africa posted a total of 320 runs in the first innings on the back of a top-order dominance which saw the following numbers - Elgar: 42, Markram: 96, de Zorzi: 85.
In return, West Indies got some early blows in the second innings but was later revived by Jason Holder's instrumental 81* where Gudakesh Motie stitched a 58 runs partnership for the 10th wicket.
The contest was evenly matched at the start of the third innings where South Africa lost early wickets and seemed to be in trouble on Lunch, Day 3. But the Proteas skipper had some other plans and treated his local fans with a hundred to remember for the ages. This was the turning point in the match and from here the Windies never turned back with a fight.

Kraigg Brathwaite (West Indies captain): " Well, looking back, bowlers got 40 wickets in the series. That is good accomplishment coming back from Australia. We weren't good enough with the bat in hand. Obviously, they are a great attack. Away from home we need to step up with the bat in hand. I still think we've made some good positives.
Bowling wise as I said we got 40 wickets. We improved from Australia, it's a different batting lineup though.
Next step will be in July against India at home. Away from home, actually, we weren't great. Few players play fifty overs, few players play T20, but it is all about mental. Test cricket is always great, but you have to do it. We have done it against England at home and obviously away. Against Zimbabwe, we have done well.
Extremely disappointed, Especially today. Dismissed inside the first 12 overs, As a leader, I need to lead from the front, but didn't happen today. Will actually try to get better."

Aiden Markram (Player of the Series): "Yeah, it is a satisfying thing to get runs. Look we were chasing a series win and are happy that the team has done it. I am always ready to do for the team when they need me. I will learn from that shot selection (the shot which got him out on 96). I will surely do better if I get an opportunity to bat in the 90s. At the end of the day, you want to score 100s rather than get out in the 90s. I will try to correct these. You look at Bavuma's innings of 172. He was there and took our team out of trouble. Batting long is a great talent. It's the patience game. It has been a satisfying series for all of us. Happy with the result and it is what matters at the end of it all."

I need to come in these situations when the team needs it. I needed to make it big, convert and it was needed even personally. I need to stand up this way more in the future.
