5:56 PM IST and 2:26 PM Local | A clinical victory for England as they have levelled the ODI series 1-1 with one game to spare. They have beaten the South African Women by six wickets with 156 balls to spare.
Earlier in the day, the English bowlers—Charlie Dean, Sophie Ecclestone, and Lauren Filer—did a fantabulous job of bowling out the Proteas for 136. The two spinners shared seven wickets between them, while the speedster snapped three wickets.
Chasing the modest total, Tammy Beaumont and Maia Bouchier gave the visitors a solid opening stand. They added 69 runs to them, but Annerie Dercksen removed both the openers. Meanwhile, Marizanne Kapp removed Heather Knight.
However, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Danni Wyatt-Hodge shared a quickfire stand of 47, making sure that England didn't lose wickets in a cluster like South Africa. And in the end, Amy Jones took England home with two fours.
