Most Player of the Series Award for England in T20Is:

3 - Jos Buttler, Sam Curran*

2 - Kevin Pietersen, Phil Salt, Harry Brook
Sam Curran: "It (the pitch) was different. We knew 130-135 was a decent score. We have some good spinners. It was a fun game to be a part of. We take a lot of confidence from it. We are off to Mumbai tomorrow.

(On his contribution) It has been great to be back in the side. I have been trying to contribute. We played on very different surfaces. The first two matches we had good T20 surfaces and this one was a slow turner. So, it was a great challenge and we are very happy to win."
Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka Captain): "Of course, it’s really disappointing, but, you know, I think we could have taken it a bit deeper in the second innings. So that’s the only area we could have done slightly better.

(On positives from the series) Yeah, the contest in the series was good. A lot of positives, even today. Chameera bowled really well. Theekshana bowled well. So there are areas we didn’t bowl well, actually, but going forward, we need to address a lot of areas. Hopefully, you know, we need to make it right in the World Cup.

(Things to work ahead of the WC) Let’s see. We can still take the positives from here, but at the same time, yes, we lost 3–0. As the captain, I need to address the areas where we did really well. Take the positives and neglect the other things. We need to, you know, play a good World Cup — that’s the kind of mindset we should look for. Yeah, but you know, it’s a World Cup. We’re looking forward to that, and we’ll see how it goes. I desperately want to deliver something special.

(On problem areas) Yeah, we talked about this earlier as well — it’s playing spin. You know, we need access to the sides of the wicket. So that’s the only area I’m a bit concerned about. We’ve already addressed it, and we’ll see how it goes."
Harry Brook (England captain): "That was awesome. One of the most fun wins I have been a part of. The boys kept on fighting. Really fun to be a part of. We showed that we can adapt to surfaces. The way Sam (Curran) batted was very good. Then the way we bowled, 16 overs of spin against Sri Lanka in their conditions, that was amazing. The World Cup will be here. Hopefully we can come back here with the knowledge of these conditions. I have enjoyed my time in Sri Lanka. Hopefully, I will come back a few times."
10:55 PM IST, local time: Brook joins his team who are already posing for the photographs. He collects the gigantic looking trophy and the celebrations begin. Most of the England supporters have not left the stadium and are in the stands singing, dancing and rejoicing this win.
What a brilliant clinical performance witnessed tonight by England. They have defended their lowest score in a T20I game and win the series 3-0. Excellent confidence booster for them ahead of the T20 World Cup.

That's it from our live coverage of this game. This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of my colleagues Darpan Tikiya and Zeeshan Naiyer. Cheers.
