Nitish Kumar Reddy: "[on the win] Everyone did a good job. It's a team effort and thankfully we are on the winning note.

[on the bowling] I was thinking about the situation and use my field and that's what I have done. It's a matter of execution and it went pretty well.

[on the pitch] It was good. I thought it was about to spin but our fast bowlers did very well and it was good to bat on. Our bowlers have executed the plan well.

[on the message to other bowlers] From the outside we got the message that hit your top of off length and don't try too much. We have collected couple of wickets in the powerplay doing the same.

[on Shivang Kumar] He is doing pretty good and his mystery bowling is helping us very well. Hope he continues the same way in the entire tournament."

Ishan Kishan (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain): "(How does that feel?) Lovely you know, when you have a bunch of great young bowlers. They are executing their plans well. They are coming up with their own plans as well. So, it's very good to see as there is less pressure on the captain to set their field because they are ahead of the game anyway. So, it was lovely to see them do their job today.

(Did he feel that they were a few runs short?) Yeah, 100% I felt that. Abhishek got out pretty early but still after scoring 60 odd runs, we have always ended up scoring 200, 220 to 230. You have always seen that from us. From the first three batters, one batter has always scored big runs. We were missing on that today but especially with this team and with this batting line-up, I felt that we were 15 runs short. 

(On the bowling attack) Yeah, actually looking at them in the practice sessions, giving their best every single day. You have to trust your bowlers. This is the bunch of bowlers we have at this point of time and I think they are very much keen to do their best for the team. I just give the ball to them and let them do their job.

(On the surface) I think that was a really good surface to bat on. That's why I think we were 35-40 runs short. But yeah, lot to learn from this game. We will try to improve on our things.

(On winning 3 games already this season) To be very honest, we are not looking at the points table right now. We want to take one game at a time and then see how it goes."

Eshan Malinga (POTM): "[What were the plans to defend 194?] Before the match, we as a bowling group had a good plan. We know the Hyderabad wicket, and we know that after 10 overs the ball gets reverse. We know how to play and bowl on this kind of Hyderabad wicket, and we executed.

[How late does he decide what kind of delivery to bowl?] Actually, Ishan was coming for me, and he was asking me what kind of deliveries I was going to bowl. Through the bowling mark, I decide what delivery bowl.

[On his ability to execute with the ball reversing, and getting the wickets] The reverse is very important for me. Because it's a good wicket-taking delivery. If it reverses and we execute it well, then the batters struggle to hit it. Thank you so much."

A super Saturday lived up to the billing with two thrilling contests. In the afternoon, Delhi Capitals pulled off a fine chase against the defending champions RCB. Later in the evening, SRH’s young bowling attack held their nerve to defend 194 against CSK in front of a roaring home crowd. That’s the third win of the season for both DC and SRH.
