1:39 AM IST, 9:09 PM Local Time: A target of 182 in the Hundred does come across as challenging, particularly given the quality of the Manchester Super Giants' pace attack. But not only have the Sunrisers Leeds' top-order succeeded in chasing it down, they made an absolute mockery of it. Zak Crawley and Harry Brook actually took a bit of time late in the chase, and yet, the Sunrisers Leeds got there with ample time to spare.
Having been sent in to bat, the Manchester Super Giants got off to a decent start courtesy their openers. Tim Seifert did most of the damage, almost single-handedly taking them to 29 in the first four sets before holing out off Brydon Carse in the fifth. Jos Buttler walked in, and along with Aiden Markram, looked to pace his innings steadily. There seemed to barely be any dots in those middle overs as the duo kept rotating strike, finding the boundary every now and then.
Markram's wicket in the 11th set brought Heinrich Klaasen in. The burly South African played himself in nicely, and with a well-built platform to capitalise on, both batters went absolutely bonkers going into the last five sets. 21 came off the 16th set from Carse, Buttler got to his fifty the following delivery after the set, Heinrich Klaasen got in on the action, and the course of the innings was completely altered. Klaasen himself got to his fifty in the final set before holing out, and the Manchester Super Giants ended with 181 in their 100 deliveries, with 84 of them coming in the last 6 sets.
The Sunrisers Leeds absolutely raced off the blocks, mainly thanks to Mitchell Marsh. Gus Atkinson and Sonny Baker got in a couple of good overs, coming in with thrilling pace and getting the ball to move around quite a bit. Rickelton struggled against it, he did find and clear the boundary once each, but found Tom Moores at mid-off in the 4th set of the chase. Marsh, having played himself in, switched gears, and the runs came along thick and fast.
Pace, wrist-spin, finger-spin, nothing seemed to work against 'the Bison'. 22 runs came in the 9th set off Josh Tongue as Marsh reached his fifty in just 22 deliveries. Zak Crawley got in on the act having played second fiddle for a while, and the Sunrisers were on top of proceedings at the halfway stage of the chase.It took a searing yorker from Sonny Baker in the 12th set to get rid of Marsh for 63. Harry Brook came in, and proceeded to pick up where Marsh left off.
Brook proceeded to tonk four sixes in his first nine deliveries, three of them in the 14th set off Dawson. Zak Crawley then went on the charge again, bringing up his own half-century. Having brought the equation to well under a run-a-ball, Brook and Crawley could then bide their time and get their team past the line, which they did.

Mitchell Marsh (Player of the Match): "(On whether he's enjoyed batting at the Hundred) It's been a great start. Great win by the lads. We've played on some very nice wickets, so nice to get another win.
(On what they did to combat MSG's pace attack) Just tried and played good cricket shots, they're a really good side, so this was a really good win for us. We didn't get off to a flier in the powerplay; they bowled really well. We stuck at it, partnerships are key in run-chases like that. partnership with Zak is awesome, he batted really well today.
(On whether growing up playing on fast, bouncy wickets helps him play an attack like MSG's) I've certainly grown up on fast, bouncy wickets. You get to learn new experiences, facing attacks like this all around the world. Just really pleased with the win, thought 180, whatever they made was going to be a tough chase, but we played really well.
(On the chat at the halfway stage) We thought the wicket was a touch slower than the other day, from some of the information we got from our bowling group. Thought they batted really well to get that total, but it's a tough ground to defend. As I said, that partnership with Zak was the key.
(On whether the wicket change at all) I don't think it changed too much, I think what we saw in their innings, when their partnership got going it was really hard to break it. Headingley is one of the best grounds in the world in my eyes, once you're in it feels quite small, and you can clear the pickets as much as you can. Really good run-chase."

Zak Crawley (Sunrisers Leeds Captain): "[Thoughts on the game] Yeah, unbelievable game. So happy with the win. I feel they batted really well to get an above par score. We were confident, with the batting line-up we have got. When you have Mitch Marsh and Harry Brook in the line-up you fancy your chances.
[On the conditions] Yeah, I don't know what happened tonight. A lot of sixes were hit. The slower balls were gripping, and the spinners were getting a bit of turn. As soon as you go in the air, it seemed to be flying over the ropes.
[Chat with Marsh] I told him to keep going. I was trying to get him on strike, couldn't really get him on strike, and then managed to get a couple away. But, no, I was just telling him to keep swinging. I couldn't believe how hard he was hitting it. Off some of those good balls as well, that they were rolling. It was a phenomenal innings by him. I've never seen power like this, to be honest. I said to the umpires, I'm not sure I want to back up here. And he said he took a yard further back. We needed to get off to a quick start on a pitch like that, and thankfully we did.
[On talks at the innings break] We didn't discuss anything. We just, we didn't discuss anything during the team talk. Just go and bat your way every time, really. We don't discuss those sorts of things. Everyone's got the freedom to play how they want to play. And thankfully, a couple came out the screws in the middle there, we caught up, and got over the line.
[On winning back-to-back games] Obviously, it was a tough loss in the first game. They played really well against us. And tonight, against a side like that, they are a very strong side. And they were 2-0 coming into it. So, to beat them tonight is a big win for us."
