SIX! Alice Davidson-Richards finishes things in style! Tossed up and on the stumps. Richards reaches the pitch of the ball and lofts it straight down the ground for a biggie to finish the game. Northern Superchargers Women win by seven wickets with 22 balls to spare.
NSW won by 7 wickets
9:54 PM IST, 5:24 PM Local Time: A comprehensive win for Northern Superchargers Women as they win this game very easily by 7 wickets with 22 balls to spare. Birmingham Phoenix Women have been outplayed in all facets of the game and it's back to the drawing board for the visitors. The home side will be happy with the performance.

Chasing a paltry 111 for the win in 100 balls, the Superchargers got off to a good steady start. Kelly scored 24 off 20 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues looked good for her 16 off 10 balls before she fell. Phoebe Litchfield anchored the chase with her 42* off 29 balls as she remained unbeaten till the end. Skipper Armitage chipped in with 13 runs while Alice Davidson Richards came in and scored 11* off 5 balls to get the win in the 16th set.

Issy Wong bowled only 5 balls and got a wicket to her name. Levick bowled well as she gave away 18 runs and picked up a wicket in 20 balls. The other wicket fell to H L Baker who finished with 1/20 in 13 balls. The rest of the bowlers went wicketless but they had too low of a score to defend in the end.

Earlier in the game, Birmingham Phoenix Women were put into bat first by Northern Superchargers Women. They got off to a decent start courtesy of Sophie Devine as she held the innings together. But she lost wickets at the other end. Skipper Evelyn Jones went for 10 while Amy Jones went for 13 runs. Devine top scored with 46 off 36 balls but she felt the pressure and got out in the end. The innings fell away thereafter with only Freeborn reaching double figures scoring 14 off 11 balls. The rest of the batters did not reach double digits and they ended with 110/8 in 100 balls.

It was a disciplined bowling performance from the Superchargers bowlers. Alice Davidson Richards was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/20 in 20 balls. Smith was economical as she gave away 16 runs in 20 balls apart from picking up a wicket. Georgia Wareham and Kate Cross picked up a wicket each as well and gave hardly anything away in their spell of bowling. All in all, a great bowling display by the hosts and a professional display by the Northern Superchargers Women

So, a win for Northern Superchargers Women by 7 wickets with 22 balls to spare as they go to the top of the points table for the time being. Stick around to see who is the Hero of the Match and what she has to say.
Alice Davidson-Richards (Hero of the match): "Yeah, it's been pretty phenomenal, pretty tough for the girls getting that first win on the board. So, yeah, as days goes, not too shabby.

Yeah, they were playing some lovely shots at the beginning and I think with their top order, they're definitely going to get away sometimes. And again, what I said earlier is keep not getting wrapped up and all of that and keeping it nice and simple and what we spoke about as a bowling group and yeah, bowling your best ball for as long as possible.

No, there isn't too much chat. Obviously, it's quite nice that it's only five balls, so you don't get to go for a four or six off that last ball. But yeah, it's nothing too different. The plans are pretty similar. Obviously, it's just ball shorter.

Yeah, I mean, all the other batters did a lot of the hard work. I just came in at the end and knocked a few off, it was okay.
Not much spin, a slightly slower wicket, but yeah,  play straight, and be great.

Yeah, we were really close last year and that was really frustrating and we talked about that when we got together as a group a few days ago. Yeah, we're definitely aiming for those eliminators and again, it's doing what we do best for as long as possible and hoping our teams best."
So, that's a wrap on this Women's Hundred match. Don't go too far away as the Men's Hundred game between these two teams is on its way soon. Switch tabs to catch that encounter and also you can switch tabs to watch the West Indies India first T20I from Trinidad. Plenty of action happening across the globe across formats in our network.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee taking your leave alongside my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
