LEIC won by 4 wickets
2:24 AM IST, 9:54 PM Local Time: Leicestershire clinch a terrific 4-wicket victory against Sussex in the Vitality Blast at Hove! Ashton Turner scoring an unbeaten half century to help the side chase down a total of 180 in just 17.4 overs. Turner also picked up 2/24, proving his mettle as the overseas allrounder for the Foxes.

In addition of Turner's 2 wickets, Liam Trevaskis (2/27), Ben Green (2/30), Ian Holland (2/35) and Josh Davey (1/42) shared the wickets among them to bundle Sussex out for 179 in 19.5 overs. Harrison Ward scored 69 in 33 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes and his opening stand with Daniel Hughes worth 95 runs in 8.3 overs once assured the hosts of a score north of 200.

Leicestershire lost the openers inside the powerplay but Nick Kelly scored 30 in 23 balls adding 32 runs for the 3rd wicket with Jonathan Tattersall. The latter's dismissal in the 7th over brought Turner at the crease. The Aussie added 35 runs with Kelly and later 41 with Ben Green and took the side home hitting an unbeaten 57 in 28 balls with 6 fours and 3 maximums.

Sean Hunt picked up 2/37, Tymal Mills 2/38, Danny Briggs 1/33 and Danny Lamb 1/20 in 1.4 overs but their effort wasn't enough to show enough fight for Sussex as the Foxes leapt to victory with 14 balls to spare.
That's it from our coverage of an exciting game in the Vitality Blast 2026! Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
