TRW won by 18 runs
22.34 IST: Trent Rockets Women pulled off 18 runs victory here at Trent Bridge, Nottingham which also means they will move to the third place in the points table standings. On the contrary, London Spirit Women faced the third consecutive loss on a trot and they are yet to open a winning account in the competition.
Earlier, London invited Trent Rockets to bat first and with the contributions from Bryony Smith (63), Villani (24) and the skipper Natalie Sciver (42*), Rockets amassed a total of 142/4 in their hundred balls.
In reply, Beth Mooney started Spirit's inning with some glorious shots before getting dismissed by Sciver on the individual score of 13. On the very next ball of her dismissal, Alice Monaghan too got a golden duck. Within the span of a few balls, those two were joined by Grace Scrivens (8 off 18 balls) whose innings weren't going anywhere but rather has put pressure on her side.
Amelia Kerr (26 off 19 balls) along with Naomi Dattani (38* off 34 balls) tried their best but couldn't able to cross the line for their side.
For Trent Rockets Women, Sciver scalped a couple of wickets while Bryony Smith, Katherine Brunt, Sarah Glenn and Alana King bagged one each. Hold on for the presentation folks.
PLAYER OF THE GAME.: Bryony Smith: "I and Sciver knew our partnership is gonna be the key and we managed to rotate the strike on a regular basis. Sciver makes the batting looks easy in the middle and I want to wish her too as it's her birthday today. At half-time, we knew we have performed well and this would be enough for the bowlers to restrict the Spirits."
That's all from our end, this is Ishan signing off with my co-commentator Nikhil along with our star scorer/analyst Zeeshan. We will be back with all the live action, until next time, cheers from our side.
