Sutherland goes deep and hacks it across the line with all might. She gets the middle of the bat and the ball maroons over cowcorner for a handsome six. However, they fall short by five runs. The Rockets does it in Trent Bridge and marches on with another triumph.

They incur a hat-trick of loss after a victory in their tourney curtain-raiser. The Rockets won the important phases of the game in both sessions, ending with back-to-back three victories. They find them four points higher and retain the second position in the points table.
Arriving for the chase, the SunRisers got off to a sedate start, losing an early wicket. Although Phoebe Litchfield came in and tried to fancy around, she could not strong many boundaries. With Jess Jonassen by her side, the Leeds propelled to 50 runs in the 35-run partnership before the all-rounder's dismissal on the 44th ball. Twenty balls later, Litchfield succumbed to dot ball pressure, faltering for a 22-ball 26.
Danielle Gibson followed suit with 61 needed in the last five sets. Although the game tilted in the Rockets’ direction, Sutherland denied them an easy route. She smoked 23 runs off the 17th set, smacking a couple of sixes against Georgia Elwiss to curtail the equation to 32 needed off the last 15 balls.
Lauren Winfield-Hill strung in with a couple of fours in the next set, before Ash Gardner's five-run in the penultimate set left 17 runs to defend for Kim Garth in the last.
