A young speedster from Pakistan who is fearless and a passionate right-arm pacer, Naseem Shah’s smooth and slick action side-on is a craft in motion when he is bowling in full flow.

Naseem made his first-class debut in 2018 at just 16 years of age.

Officially added to the squad for the ICC U19 World Cup in 2020, Shah was later removed amid an age controversy, but the PCB later confirmed that his paperwork is in order and that tests have been conducted to verify it.

Naseem Shah Test Career

Naseem Shah made his Test debut for Pakistan against Australia in November 2019. The following month, he was selected in the Test squad for the series against Sri Lanka, and in the final match, he became the second-youngest bowler to take a five-wicket haul.

On 9th February 2020, Naseem was crowned as the youngest bowler to take a hat-trick in Test cricket at just 16 years and 359 days old. His childhood dream came true when PCB awarded him with a central contract ahead of the 2020–21 season.

Naseem Shah ODI Career

The right-arm fast, Naseem Shah, made his ODI debut for Pakistan against the Netherlands on August 16, 2022, in Rotterdam.

Naseem Shah impressed, taking his first ODI five-wicket haul against the Netherlands, in just his third match. He later secured a second fifer (5-57) in the first ODI against New Zealand in January 2023.

His injury, unfortunately, forced him out of the ODI World Cup in India, a loss that was arguably more significant for the Pakistan team than for Naseem personally.

Naseem Shah T20I Career

Naseem Shah made his T20I debut for Pakistan against arch-rivals India in the Asia Cup on August 28, 2022, in Dubai. The young fast bowler impressed by removing KL Rahul for a golden duck in his first over and finished with figures of 2-27, despite battling severe cramps during the match.

After impressing during the Asia Cup, Naseem was added to Pakistan's T20I squad for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. At just 19, Shah had a prolific run in the coveted tournament, helping his team reach the final, which they ultimately lost to England.

He was also added to Pakistan’s squads for the 2024 and 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournaments.
