Timothy Blake Robinson, aka Tim Robinson, is known for his top-order batting as a right-handed batter and he can roll his arm as a pacer. Born on April 28, 2002, in Wellington, he eventually went on to play for his hometown Wellington in the domestic circuit, before representing New Zealand at the highest level.

Robinson’s athleticism was evident from a young age. During his tenure at Wellington College, he excelled in javelin throwing, competing alongside his brother, Cam. This diverse athletic background contributed to his physical prowess and competitive spirit, qualities that would later define his cricketing career.

Robinson commenced his professional cricket journey with the Wellington Firebirds, making his T20 debut in November 2021 against Canterbury. Although he didn’t have the best of debuts, he soon cemented his place and earned his reputation.

In March 2022, Robinson made his first-class debut for Wellington against Otago in the Plunket Shield season. He scored a marvelous fifty in the first innings, and he scored his maiden first-class century later that month, solidifying his reputation as a reliable top-order batter.

Expanding his versatility, the top-order batter debuted in List A cricket on November 22, 2022, for Wellington against Canterbury in the Ford Trophy. However, his debut wasn’t the best of ones; he soon adapted the format and marked his territory.

Robinson's consistent domestic performances earned him a spot in the New Zealand national team. He made his T20 International debut in April 2024 against Pakistan, becoming the 101st player to represent the BlackCaps in this format.

Furthering his international career, Robinson debuted in ODIs in November 2024 against Sri Lanka, receiving cap number 217. Opening the innings for the side, he scored 35 runs in 36 balls giving a good start to the team.

In 2024, Robinson expanded his professional horizons by joining the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). This experience in franchise cricket provided him with exposure to diverse playing conditions and competitive environments, contributing to his overall development as a cricketer.

Sixes—a skill he describes as "addictive." His approach mirrors that of former teammate Finn Allen, characterized by a fearless attitude and a penchant for taking on bowlers. This aggressive mindset has made him a valuable asset in the top order, capable of shifting the momentum of a game swiftly.

Outside the cricketing arena, Robinson leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and diving, reflecting his connection to nature and a balanced approach to life. These interests not only provide relaxation but also contribute to his physical fitness and mental well-being.
