Born on February 4, 1988, in Mardan, Pakistan, the left-arm orthodox spinner shifted to Oman and broke into the national side in 2023. Since then, he has become a dependable part of their bowling unit across formats. Ahmad made his T20I debut against the UAE in 2023 and his ODI debut the following year against Nepal, both times impressing with his ability to control the game through disciplined spells.

Ahmad’s strength lies in his economy and consistency — he has often bowled in the toughest phases yet kept batsmen quiet. For Oman, he provides not only control in the middle overs but also breakthroughs when needed most.
