Glamorgan county cricket club, is a historic club in the United Kingdom which was formed in Wales in 1888 and held Minor status till 1921. The club is based in the Welsh capital city of Cardiff and play most of their home games at the beautiful Sophia Gardens and occasionally play at Swansea, Cressely and Colwyn Bay. Although Cardiff Arms Park was the teams home in the early 20th century, they made their first-class debut here against Sussex in 1921 as skipper Norman Riches led them to a 23 run win, but had a poor season overall and finished last that year.

They are also one of the very few teams to register wins against all Test playing nations.
They wore red and green in the early parts of the 21st century as they were called the Glamorgan Dragons. Since 2010 they are just called Glamorgan and wear the Blue and yellow kit. The club has four One-Day Cups trophies in their cabin winning them in 1993, 2002, 2004 and the latest one was added just last year.
One of the biggest name in the club is Robert Croft who amassed over 10,000 runs and over 1000 wickets for the club and went on to represent England in 21 Tests and 50 ODIs. Don Shepherd with 2,174 wickets and Alan Jones with 34,506 runs have topped in their respective art for the club. In 1969, Glamorgan's Malcolm Nash was at the recieving end as Gary Sobers made it to the history books by smashing him for six-sixes in an over.
