Gujarat Titans (GT) is one of the two new franchises introduced to the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the 2021 season. Based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans play their home matches at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Ahmedabad-based Torrent Group (who hold 67% ownership) and CVC Capital Partners own the franchise.

It became the first sports team in India to introduce a dedicated virtual space in the Metaverse for its global community of fans and players. Gujarat Titans' Dugout in the Metaverse, known as the Titans’ Dugout, gives their fans an immersive and engaging experience.

They spent a whopping INR 38 crores combined on Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill. In 2022, New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson was their most expensive purchase, at INR 10 crore. They also bought Mohammad Shami for INR 6.25 crore.

Titans were captained by Hardik in their opening two seasons, during which they won their inaugural season and finished as runners-up the following season. 

Ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, GT suffered a major blow when Pandya returned to the Mumbai Indians. As they traded the allrounder to MI, Shubman Gill was named their captain for IPL 2024.

The 2024 season turned out to be a tough one for the Gujarat Titans, as they finished eighth on the points table. The Shubman Gill-led side managed only five wins in 14 matches, with seven losses and two no-results, finishing with a win percentage of 41.6%. 

Their powerful anthem, “Aava De,” quite literally roars at their contenders, "Bring it on!"

In IPL 2025, they surged in their performance and had a strong but ultimately bittersweet campaign in the IPL 2025. They finished third in the league stage to qualify for the playoffs, but their journey ended in the Eliminator, where they were defeated by the Mumbai Indians.

Shubman Gill and Co. continued their stellar form in 2026, finishing as the runners-up in the tournament after reaching the final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Under the captaincy of Shubman, the team finished second in the league stage with 9 wins from 14 games.
