7:11 AM IST, 9:41 PM Local Time: The San Francisco Unicorns book their place for the grand finale of GSL 2026 and will face the Guyana Amazon Warriors tomorrow! An 8-wicket win for the MLC franchise in the Qualifier against Desert Vipers, ensures their place in the summit clash.
Unicorns skipper Hassan Khan won the toss and elected to bowl first. The spinners led by Fabian Allen's 3/20 did a tremendous job to restrict the Vipers to 122/7. Hassan leading with example with 1/14, Anirudh Immanuel claiming 1/14 and Karima Gore 1/4. Vriitya Aravind was the only player to cross 25 and top scored with an unbeaten 29.
Tim Robinson and Connor Esterhuizen started off well adding 29 runs in 4.2 overs. Khary Pierre broke the stand by cleaning up the latter and then sent skipper Hassan in the same over. Oliver Peake then helped Robinson to take the Unicorns home.
The opener hit 8 fours and a maximum in his unbeaten 68 off 54 deliveries. Peake scored 33 off 31 balls with 2 fours and as many maximums to his name. The unbeaten 97-run stand for the 3rd wicket ensured Unicorns finished the game in the 17th over.
Besides Pierre's 2/22, only Vitel Lawes (0/27) and Zachary Carter (0/25) proved somewhat effective on the surface. Skipper Shadab Khan leaked 41 runs in his 4 overs. The Unicorns will now face the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final tomorrow.

Tim Robinson (Player of the Match): "[Can you believe you are in the Final?] As one of the boys said, we are Ollie Peaking at the right time, so hopefully we can take the momentum into tomorrow and topple the home team, that will be good.
[How you enjoyed your knock?] I loved it, the wickets have been challenging for batting. The nature of the score we had to chase, we didn't have to take too many risks. It was just a case of batting and capitalizing on bad balls. That's what (Ollie Peake) Peaky and myself were trying to do during the middle. We got a bit lucky there but that is the type of game we play.
[About Ollie Peake] He is a good man. I have loved spending time with him over the course of this GSL. I am sure I would have lots to do with him in the future. He is an amazing player. He has got class, he has got power. He seems to have everything in a complete package. It's just him playing cricket, when he plays cricket, he will get runs and do well. Amazing guy and I have loved spending time with him in these couple of weeks.
[Are you guys ready for the Final?] We sure are, the challenge of playing against Guyana who are a powerhouse at home, we know that. I have said a number of times they are a great bunch of mates, I love them as people. I am hoping when we step over the rope, we will let the competitive juices flow but hopefully we will topple them."

[on the bowlers] We have done well throughout the tournament. Everyone chipped in. Our batters scored runs as well.
